The History of Nematech

Our name, briefly: Nematech, is a combination of the hungarian words for German(német) and Hungarian(magyar), as is evident from our long name: Német – Magyar Ipari Technológiai Termékeket Gyártó Kft., which means German-Hungarian Industrial Technology Products Manufacturing Ltd.

Our company was established on August 27, 1993, with the assistance of our German parent company, Frötek-Kunststofftechnik GmbH.

This marked Frötek’s first international expansion, and since then, our corporate group has a presence in five countries and three continents. Initially, our Budapest-based company started with fourteen employees, but due to continuous development and expansion, we now have over one hundred and twenty colleagues. Our corporate group provides employment for seven hundred people worldwide and offers assistance in the execution of manufacturing projects to our partners, fully meeting the automotive industry’s requirements. To achieve this, we have established a quality assurance system over the years, certified by international certification bodies in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards. The company has grown beyond trading exclusively with the parent company, leading to a constant expansion of our direct partner base and the range of applied technologies.

In recent years, in addition to injection molding, we have developed significant expertise and infrastructure for the precise production of busbars and the manufacturing of cable harnesses.
